W. James (Jim) Dixon B.G.S., M.B.A. Ec.D.(F)

Jim is a results-oriented business professional with 20+ years of experience in business ownership and management in both independent and franchised operations. He has a strong understanding of business start-up and preparing and analyzing financial statements. He has an extensive background in Entrepreneurial, Business and Economic Development. Through the management of the contracts of two Enterprise Regions, he has contributed his expertise in helping grow and transform communities and regional economies through various tools and programs.

As a past member of Moose Jaw City Council, he has held many leadership positions and in association with The Pacific Institute, is a trained and effective facilitator of their leadership curricula. Jim played an integral role in the organizational cultural transformation that his previous organization experienced.

Jim is a member of CMC-Canada, Economic Developers Association of Canada, and current member & past director of the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce!

W. Stewart Scott B.A., B.Ed., M.Phil.

Stewart has an extensive and successful background in Entrepreneurial Business and in Economic Development. His professional experience and consulting assignments include Bank Management, Senior Management positions in Retail and Manufacturing, Franchise Operations and Franchisee Relations, Financial Planning, Business Consulting and owning his own start up companies. He is adept at understanding a business start up and his financial background enhances his ability to translate operations into financial statements.

As a past member of the Board of Directors for the South Central Enterprise Region, and past Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee, he is able to contribute his expertise in helping the region grow in a sustainable and economically viable way. By helping aboriginal entrepreneurs, he is assisting the Métis, First Nations, and Inuit peoples to be an integral part of that growth.

He is currently Past President of the Wolseley and District Chamber of Commerce, and Treasurer and Board Member of the Wolseley Heritage Foundation with its involvement in the International Main Street Programme.

He is President of the Wolseley Economic Development Corporation whose prime responsibility is to administer the Small Business Loans Association funding under the auspices of the Ministry of the Economy.
